names in combination with other words, for example Sa‛d Allāh
(Sa‛dullāh) ‘joy of Allah’, an epithet of the Prophet
Muhammad. Sa‛d ibn Abū Waqqās was one of the ten
Companions of the Prophet Muhammad. This name is prevalent in all
Muslim countries.
