  • Greek : reduced form of any surname ending in -takis, such as Anagnostakis or Kostantakis. Such a surname would involve a proper name stem ending in -t and the patronymic suffix -akis. This patronymic is particularly common in Crete, where it was adopted massively in the 19th century.
